Family Strengthening Program

At Girls Inc., we understand that a girl’s success is closely tied to the well-being and support of her family. That’s why we created the Family Strengthening Program (FSP) in partnership with the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation—a comprehensive initiative designed to provide families with the tools, resources, and support needed to foster a healthy, nurturing environment for their children.

Trained Case Managers and licensed therapists work together to deliver a continuum of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each family, with a focus on building resilience and promoting social-emotional health. Our goal is to empower families with the skills to effectively communicate, manage challenges, and strengthen their relationships. Services include:

  • Free Mental Health Support
  • Parenting Workshops
  • Behavioral Interventions
  • Family Communication Skills
  • Community Resource Referrals

Since its inception in 2016, the Family Strengthening Program has proven highly effective in promoting positive individual and familial outcomes. Families who participate in the FSP report: Enhanced communication and stronger family bonds, improved mental and emotional well-being, the increased ability to manage stress and conflict, and access to critical community resources that help them thrive.
