Tricia attended Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston, Massachusetts and was in the fashion design and merchandising curriculum before moving to Germany for three years. While in Germany, she worked for the American Youth Activities on an American army base as Program Director and a Girl Scout leader. She then moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky where she worked as a legal secretary and a Girl Scout leader for two years. She returned to her home town in upstate New York and started a career with IBM. She held many positions as marketing and sales manager during her twenty-five years with IBM, and was a Worldwide Executive Marketing Director prior to leaving IBM. Tricia started her new career in the culinary arts by attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, the Art Institute of Atlanta, Ewald Notter School of Pastry Arts in Orlando, and the Culinary Business Academy. She worked for The Cook's Warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia as the Cooking School Director managing over 600 classes with local and celebrity chefs each year, and teaching cooking and chocolate classes. She hosted many celebrity chefs including Giada De Laurentiis, Anthony Bourdain, Roy Yamaguchi, Emeril Lagasse, Natalie Dupree, Helen Chen, and Ina Garten with book tours and cooking demonstrations. Tricia is a skilled cooking school consultant and owns a personal chef and catering business. Tricia joined Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County over six years ago as their resident chef and cooking instructor. She is the facilitator of the Mini Chefs' Cafe, a catering business in the town of Dream Harbor, teaches gardening, and is the computer lab instructor. She has appeared on local ABC doing a cooking demonstration representing Girls Incorporated. She is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Association. Tricia has won three scholarships over the last six years from the WCR, including a food styling class in California, wine & food class at the CIA in Napa, and a culinary class at the CIA in NY. She continues her culinary studies at the CIA in NY working towards her ProChef I Certification. Tricia has one son, Michael, and a lovely daughter-in-law, Missy, living in Atlanta, Georgia. · Julie Sullivan Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, and a graduate of Purdue University, Julie comes to us with over 12 years of Marriott Hospitality Management experience, although, her true passions are children and nature. She is the youngest of six kids (all boys) and began Purdue in Elementary Education before changing her major to Hotel Management. "I wouldn't trade my experiences and travels with Marriott but I've always known that one day, I would go back to working with children in some way." Julie started Girls Inc. September, 2008 as Program Assistant and has been promoted to Asst. Director of Program Operations and, most recently, Business Operations Manager. "I'm excited about my recent promotion and look forward to further opportunities with Girls, Inc." Julie and her husband of nearly 12 years, Bill, who is a State of FL Senior Fraud Investigator, reside in Venice with two strong, smart, and bold girls of their own - Riley (8) and Molly (6).
