VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS

Being a Girls Inc. volunteer means that you have a willing spirit to get involved, and you have an expectation to inspire and be inspired by the work you do! By expecting the best of yourself and the girls you will nurture and care for, we can do our part to create a positive, empowering experience for our volunteers as well as the girls we serve.

We have many programs that run smoothly because of our teams of volunteers, and so it is critically important to us to recruit people who have a passion for our mission. We will do our best to find ways to use your gifts and talents in our various programs so that your volunteer efforts will be rewarding and worthwhile to you and our community. But it all starts by learning a little bit about you!

In addition to the Girls Incorporated Volunteer Guidelines, Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County plans to facilitate volunteer orientation or training each spring and fall. Our goal is to learn more about our volunteers and what makes them tick! By attending one of our volunteer workshops, we can better place and support our volunteers in our different programs, which will ultimately make everything we do with and for our girls even better!

To find out more about the various volunteer opportunities at Girls Inc., or to find out when our next volunteer workshop is scheduled, contact Marisa Monroe at marisa@girlsincsrq.org and get plugged in!
